Hoverbot

The goal of this project was the implement the courses of the Electrical Engineering quartal of the HZ University of Applied sciences. To do this the assignment was given to create a Hoverbot, which is basically a small sized hovercraft. The Hovercraft was supossed to deliver and receive packages that were layed down in the HZ Waterlab. The Hoverbot was supossed to be controlled using a coördination system that was installed in the waterlab by the University. Unfortunately the system didn't work. Instead of using the HZ system, a remote controller would be used from this point.

Duration: 1 Quartile

In the middle of the Hoverbot is an CPU fan that makes sure the entire structure hovers. With the inner wheel of a motorcycle filled with air the Hoverbot stays floating and makes sure that it doesn't get damaged or damages anything else on impact. The steering of the Hoverbot is done with a servo and two motors attached to drone fans that move the Hoverbot forward. In the video in the right the latest iteration of the Hoverbot can be seen and how it performs on water. The fans here have protection to not hurt bystanders or get damaged and the battery packs are now in a waterthight box. For this design I worked on the construction on hardware and the design. Note that I understand how the software works and that I can replicate this.
